From generating a random address and reading a verification code to deleting the inbox when you’re done, this workflow is ideal for short-term sign-ups, trials, and one-time downloads. No account is required, but keep a long-term, recoverable email for important accounts.
One inbox, four steps in order
First, make sure the task is genuinely short-term, then copy the address. While waiting, stay on the current inbox and avoid repeatedly requesting new codes.
Copy and paste
Click “Copy address,” paste it in full on the target website, and check every character before and after the @ symbol.
Wait and read
The inbox refreshes automatically. Once the real message arrives, the demo email is removed. Click anywhere on the row to open the message.
Finish the task
Delete the inbox once you no longer need the messages. If the task isn’t complete, extend it—but don’t rely on it for account recovery.
The countdown defines your usage window
A temporary address is useful because its lifespan is clear. Choose an action based on how long the task will take, and don’t put a long-term account in a short-lived inbox just to avoid another login.

- Make sure the full address is visible, with no transcription errors or extra spaces
- Keep the current page open to avoid losing your access token

- Make sure the verification code or confirmation link has completed the intended action
- Delete the inbox when you no longer need follow-up notifications
- Switch to a manageable alias if you need to keep receiving messages
